Kristen Caldwell
Welcome to my practice!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma (License #7387). My approach to therapy is psychodynamic and relational in nature, meaning I focus heavily on how your past experiences and relationships shape your current world. I actively integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and partner with your unique narrative to tailor our work specifically to you.
My clinical style is deeply compassionate and gentle, yet entirely direct and honest. I believe there is profound hope no matter your circumstances. I have spent the last decade working across private practices, group counseling centers, and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings. Through this background, I have developed extensive experience walking alongside adolescents (ages 14 and up), adults, and couples navigating everything from everyday stress and boundary issues to severe trauma, bipolar disorder, addiction, and suicidal ideation.
Faith & Spirituality in Therapy
I believe that the Christian faith or incorporating a spiritual perspective can be a powerful anchor to help navigate life’s challenges, and I am honored to integrate this for clients who desire it. However, I work with individuals from all walks of life. Incorporating spiritual or religious beliefs is entirely left up to your preference and is by no means necessary to build a successful partnership, receive healing, or make meaningful progress in our sessions.
